Sentosa Island's Beach Scene Explained
Sentosa Island is home to three distinct beaches along its southern coast — Siloso Beach, Palawan Beach, and Tanjong Beach. While they're all on the same island, each has its own personality and crowd. Knowing the differences will help you pick the right one for your day out.
Siloso Beach — The Party Hub
Siloso is the busiest and most action-packed of the three. It's the go-to spot for beach clubs, water sports, and activities. If you're coming with a group of friends looking to keep things lively, this is your beach.
- Best for: Young adults, groups, water sports enthusiasts
- Key attractions: Wave House (FlowRider), AJ Hackett Sentosa (bungy jumping, Giant Swing), beach volleyball courts
- Vibe: Energetic, lively, never quiet
- Facilities: Plenty of F&B outlets, beach chairs, restrooms, and shower facilities
Palawan Beach — The Family Favourite
Palawan is the most central of the three beaches and tends to draw families and couples. It's also home to the iconic suspension bridge connecting to a small islet — which is marketed as the southernmost point of continental Asia.
- Best for: Families with children, couples, casual swimmers
- Key attractions: Palawan Pirate Ship (kids' water playground), suspension bridge to the southernmost point, beach bar clusters
- Vibe: Relaxed, family-friendly, scenic
- Facilities: Playgrounds, BBQ pits (bookable), restaurants, and souvenir shops
Tanjong Beach — The Chill Escape
Tanjong is the quietest and most laid-back of the trio — the locals' best-kept secret on Sentosa. If you want to actually relax on a beach chair with a cocktail and fewer crowds, head to Tanjong.
- Best for: Couples, solo travellers, those who want peace and quiet
- Key attractions: Tanjong Beach Club (popular weekend brunches and sunset sessions), calm waters for swimming
- Vibe: Sophisticated, serene, romantic
- Facilities: Tanjong Beach Club with bar and pool, beach loungers, shaded areas
